We are working on pages that will show you what the insides of various cameras look like. If you have a specific camera you'd like to know what it looks like inside, please email us and we will add it to our list for you to see.
We will also be including pages giving tips on what precautions need to be taken when traveling with your cameras, both film and digital.
There are many things that can happen to your camera that you may be able to diagnose and repair yourself! We'll be showing you some of the basic tips to try to safely repair your own camera.
repair procedures
When we repair a camera of any type, we fully test all the functions according to the manufacturer's testing specifications. Because of this, we are able to put our full warranty on the entire camera. We don't respond to warranty claims by saying, "This is a new problem, so you're going to have to pay for it!" Other than any major assemblies that were not replaced in a previous repair, the entire camera is warranted.
In instances of simple minor parts replacements, such as battery doors or lens covers, we will still check out the entire camera, but only charge for and guarantee the specific repair. That way we don't have to charge over $100 to replace the battery door on your camera as some manufacturer's service departments do.
Use our Repair Request Form for information concerning specific repair-related questions you may have.
You may also ship equipment to us for a complete FREE repair inspection. We receive daily deliveries from USPS, FedEx, and UPS. See our Shipping Info page for detailed instructions and a pre-formatted shipping label.
